Happiness? – there’s an app for that!

Happy for LifeIn dull, dark (and stormy) January we need a bit of cheering up. The Guardian’s Happy for Life project aims to keep you smiling by suggesting quick and easy activities to boost your mood.  It’s available on the web and also via Android and IOS apps. Each day you’ll be asked how happy you are feeling before the app proposes three different activities you can try. These include everything from watching motivational videos to planting a tree.  Once you’ve completed the task you are prompted to record how happy that has made you. There’s no pressure to complete any of the tasks if you don’t want to. You can, at any time, review the things that made you happiest using the app’s dashboard.

The information is anonymously collected as part of the Guardian’s Happy for Life Project which aims to determine which activities make the UK most happy. Be Happy!
