WightFibre is an Electonic Communications Code (“the Code”) Operator. The Code enables WightFibre to construct infrastructure on public land (streets), to take rights over private land, either with the agreement with the landowner or by applying to the County Court. It also conveys certain immunities from the Town and Country Planning legislation in the form of Permitted Development. WightFibre also complies with the OfCom Code of Practice on Broadband Speed.
