Have you downloaded the Festival App yet?

It’s getting closer! Very soon the Isle of Wight Festival will be opening the gates to welcome over 90,000 revellers, but have you planned what you’re doing yet? Look no further – the festival have once again released an app for the festival enabling you to check out the line-up, find out where you are going and this year even click and collect your festival essentials! Here’s our run-down on the best features and new additions for this year…

Schedule/Line Up

The whole line up for the weekend on every stage with timings and searchable content. What we particularly love is that you can now share a performance time and location with a friend when you click into an act. You can also now use the locate button to be shown on the festival map exactly where you need to head to. As always, you can click the star to create your own personalised line-up.

Food

After the all-important music, the food is always something to look forward to at the festival! This year the app will be giving a list of vendors and the type of food that they’ll be serving, meaning you spend less time traipsing through the site and more time enjoying yourself!

News

From last-minute act announcements to out of order port-a-loos, this is where you’ll be able to find up to date information leading up to and during the festivities, so check-in now and then to keep posted.

Maps

This year there are two maps on the app in lovely colourful detail. The first shows the Main Arena to Penny Lane and the second is Electric Ladyland and Camping. As always there is a key which explains the icons in an easy and accessible format.

Merch

This part of the app isn’t live yet, but you’ll be able to order your merchandise here for collection from an official Isle of Wight Festival merch stall or by post (TBC), again meaning less time queuing and more time enjoying the music.

Co-Op

Co-Op are telling festival goers to ‘Rock Up, Stock Up and Give Back’, because when you use your membership card, you’ll be helping to fund local projects! The app shows where they are located and the opening times. If you want to be even more organised, the Co-Op are said to be trialling click and collect at three festivals this year, one of which is the Isle of Wight Festival, but details are yet to be released.

Socials

Connect your social channels directly on the app! Choose from Instagram, Facebook, Twitter to share your highlights and see what your friends are getting up to!
