Why is my first bill more than advertised?

In addition to your upcoming month’s charges, you’ll see a pro rata charge on your bill when your service started part-way through a billing month. In simple terms, a pro rata charge is based on the number of days between your sign-up date and your billing date. Let’s say your service started on the 21st November. We’ll work out what you owe us based on the number of days from the point your service started (from the 21st November) and your next billing date. You don’t need to do anything from your side. From your second bill your amount will be the advertised monthly amount.
