Can I log into my WightFibre Hub through a web browser?

No. Unlike some routers, WightFibre Hubs don’t have a customer settings page that you log into through a web browser.

Your supported Wi-Fi and network settings are managed using the Plume Home app instead.

This means you don’t need a separate router admin username or password.

How do I change my router settings?

WightFibre broadband and Wi-Fi settings are managed through the Plume Home app rather than by logging directly into your Hub through a web browser.

The Plume Home app can be used to manage your Wi-Fi network and connected devices.

How do I set up port forwarding?

Port forwarding and other supported network settings are managed through the Plume Home app rather than by logging directly into your WightFibre Hub.

If you’re unsure which settings you need, we’ll be happy to help.

Can I have a static IP address?

A static IP address is simply an internet address that stays the same.

Most people don’t need one, but you may need one if you’re trying to remotely connect to particular equipment or use a service that specifically requires it.

If you’ve been told that you need a static IP address, please contact us and tell us what you’re trying to do. We’ll explain the options available with your service.

Can I use my own router?

You can use your own compatible router instead of the WightFibre router.

Before you change anything, please contact us. Some WightFibre features, such as the phoneline, may rely on the equipment we’ve provided. Using your own equipment will reduce our visibility of your network and therefore restrict the support we can provide in some instances.

We’ll explain what you need to know before you make the change.
