Amazon Smile has been running for a while now and quite a few Isle of Wight charities have signed up for it, but have you joined as a consumer so that these charities can benefit at no cost to you (other than your usual purchases)?
Amazon Smile is an initiative that allows your favourite charity to benefit by receiving a donation from Amazon of 5% of your eligible spend on Amazon, all you need to do is ensure that you enroll you account and renew your agreement to donate twice a year.
After a quick search on smile.amazon.co.uk, we have found that there are many Island-based charities listed and ready to benefit from your Amazon purchases.
To enroll your account, just visit either the desktop site at smile.amazon.co.uk via your computer or mobile browser and follow the on-screen instructions, or alternatively, follow these in-app steps to assign your charity:
- Open your Amazon app on our mobile device
- Click the three horizontal lines in the top left-hand corner
- Select ‘See all programmes’
- Select ‘AmazonSmile’ from near the top of the list
- Follow the on-screen instructions
