If you are old enough to feel affronted by the latest Ofcom Report which says teenagers are the most tech-savvy age group, take Ofcoms new online test which scores your DQ. DQ is your Digital Quotient (a bit like IQ but for tech stuff). The questions are fairly straight forward. Take the test here.
Ofcom carries out research to help understand people’s awareness of technology and communications. The research on people’s digital aptitude found that:
- We’re at our most tech savvy between 14 – 15 years old – with an average score of 113
- Over 60% of people aged over 55 score below average
- Six-year-olds show the same confidence with technology as 45 year olds
