The trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi has landed…

New Star Wars creature – a ‘Porg’

The trailer for the eighth installment of the Star Wars saga has finally been released by Lucasfilm ahead of it hitting the big screen in December this year. The trailer shows the main characters Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Finn (John Boyega) alongside Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) who looks to be making a big comeback after laying low in episode VII back in 2015.

One of the trailer’s most notable moments comes when Rey is training with an apparently shocked Jedi master, Skywalker who says “I’ve seen this raw strength only once before… and it scared me enough then – it does now.”

Much to fans delight, we are also introduced to new creature called a Porg. The Porgs are native to Ahch-To and are found living in the cliffs where Luke and Rey are. The Star Wars official website says: “In many ways, they’re the Star Wars version of puffins. They build nests. They can fly. Their babies are called porglets.”

Following the success of the last Star Wars premiere of The Force Awakens that raised over £3,000 for UKSA, WightFibre are hosting another one this December at Cineworld, Newport which will see a charity auction take place  with Rex Gully of Hose Rhodes Dickson Auction Rooms and special appearances from the Vectis Remnant Squad.
