On Saturday the 4th of March, Whitecroft and Barton, WightFibre’s sponsored football team stormed to victory over strong rivals Bournemouth Electric in the Hampshire Intermediate Cup Semi Final. This was an even more impressive win as contenders Bournemouth Electric have reached the semi finals for two years running, last year losing the cup to the eventual winners by penalties.
Bilton and Newnham (pictured right) were star players of the day supplying the winning goals that saw final score line of Whitecroft and Barton 2, Bournemouth Electric 1.

The Island team now go on to face Locks Heath who also beat Shanklin two goals to one in their semi final match. The Hampshire Intermediate Cup Final takes place on Saturday the 8th of April at 3.30pm and we wish the team the very best of luck.
