wightfibre-new-vansFour new vans have joined the fleet here at Wightfibre as demand increases for #FastestIW services. The new additions mean that Wightfibre can improve service levels and create more jobs here on the Island – three new apprentices have already joined.

As well as increasing productivity, the new Ford Transit vans which are provided by Premier Ford, are fuel-efficient with low emissions thanks to their advanced TDCi engines. Inline with Wightfibre‘s strong principles to work where possible with Island based companies, they felt it was important to source their vehicles from a local supplier. David Rye, Managing Director of Premier Ford said:

“As the Island’s Ford Commercial Specialist, Premier Ford is the local dealership where businesses can see the latest range of Ford commercial vehicles. We were able to help WightFibre expand their fleet by understanding their business needs, It is a pleasure to provide these vehicles to a large Island company and to see them on the road in their new liveries.”

John Irvine, CEO of WightFibre expressed his gratitude and excitement for the additions to his fleet:

“This is part of a fleet renewal programme that reflects our commitment to provide the highest level of service to our customers and support for our engineering teams, through a modern, low emissions fleet that is best suited to our work across the Island and further enhances our important work to protect the Islands environment”.
