About WightFibre
Connecting the Isle of Wight through full-fibre broadband. Learn more about WightFibre, our network, our people and our role in keeping the Island connected.
25 years of serving the Island
Since 2001, WightFibre has owned and operated its’ own telecommunications infrastructure entirely independently of BT Openreach. WightFibre provides phone, tv and broadband services to homes and businesses on the Isle of Wight. Only WightFibre is committed to building a full-fibre broadband network across the Island.
We’re a local Island company with a focus on building and operating our own network, providing connectivity to homes and businesses across the Island. Our work extends beyond the network itself, with a commitment to our customers, employees and the wider Island community.
Because we care… The ethos behind WightFibre
WightFibre is a local Island company, providing phone, TV and broadband services to homes and businesses across the Isle of Wight.
Since 2015, ‘Because We Care’ has been part of our company logo and reflects the way we work. We care about our customers, our employees, our Island community and our environment. It’s an ethos that runs through our company culture and the services we provide.
More than just a network
Our success depends on providing a high level of service to our customers and making WightFibre a great place to work. We also believe in supporting the Island community and taking responsibility for our environmental impact.
Through our Connected Communities Programme, we provide free or discounted broadband to community groups, charities and not-for-profit organisations, alongside sponsorship and other support.
We are also committed to reducing our carbon footprint and achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2040, in line with the Isle of Wight Council’s timescale. We are working to understand our emissions and identify ways to reduce our environmental impact.

Our Credentials
At WightFibre, as we strive to make our Island one of the best connected places on the planet and to provide the best possible service, we seek external validation of how we are doing.

Sustainability
WightFibre’s priority is to reduce its carbon footprint before considering offsetting. WightFibre intend to achieve net zero by 2040, in line with the timescale set by the Isle of Wight Council.
