The Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce‘s third annual Business Expo 2015 was a resounding success. Held at Lakeside Park Hotel and Spa in Wootton, guests were able to see over thirty local businesses exhibiting.
Wightfibre‘s stand proved very popular, with CEO John Irvine available to talk to all day and some innovative promotional giveaways such as the famous WightFibre Jelly Beans and USB flash drives. Keep an eye out on our Facebook & Twitter for a chance to win your own!
The rooms at the expo were incredibly well presented and organised with a constant stream of visitors to all exhibitor’s stands.
We bumped in to Kate Thomas on the WP Recruitment stand, who had a fun ‘net a duck’ competition running in exchange for visitor’s business cards. Many stands at the Business Expo were holding competitions and providing promotional items.

On entry to one of the two exhibition areas, guests were greeted by John Owen from Vectis radio and his team, who were there to share some very exciting news with everyone.
“We are here to promote our community radio station which is now in it’s fifth year. We have secured sponsorship from Red Funnel to create a mobile app, which will also provide Southern Vectis bus service information such as timetables and delays.”

Kicking off the business seminars at 11am was Marketing Specialist & Professional Style Coach, Dee Becker. Dee held a seminar titled ‘Make a Great and Lasting Impression’ and the Syndicate Room was full of attentive participants, as with all the seminars throughout the day.
Dee introduced the concept of Multi-Sense marketing to the audience:
