Prestigious Industry Award Nomination for WightFibre

The awards are to be held at the Amba Hotel, Marble Arch

WightFibre is delighted to be shortlisted in the inaugural INCA Awards, which celebrates the brightest names in innovative alternative networks, for the Gigabit Island Project.

The INCA Awards have been launched to celebrate the UK’s most innovative and inspirational alternative network providers currently operating in the UK.

WightFibre has been shortlisted in the Commercial Innovation category. The Commercial Innovation Award is for any project making effective use of collaboration between three or more organisations. The Gigabit Island project has bought together collaboration between many organisations including Isle of Wight Council, Island Roads and funded by Infracapital Partners in collaboration with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) Digital Infrastructure Investment Fund.

16 UK companies have been shortlisted and the winners in each of the seven categories will be announced at the INCA Awards Dinner in London on Monday November 5th.

WightFibre CEO John Irvine said “We are delighted to be shortlisted for an INCA Award. Our Gigabit Island project has demonstrated a positive joined up approach and for the project to be recognised nationally is testament to the hard work by all the WightFibre team and partners. It is great the Isle of Wight is receiving national recognition for digital infrastructure”.
