WightFibre believes in supporting the local Island community. Next month, we will be sponsoring the Village Sport area at the Royal Isle of Wight County Show, as well as the Main Ring. The County Show will take place on Sunday the 25th of June at the County Show Ground in Northwood.
For the Wightfibre Village Sports area, young people and parents from local Primary schools are being invited to decorate large letters that have been made to spell out ‘Village Green’. To take part, you need to ask you child’s teacher if they have applied to take part and if not, contact the County Show by emailing riwas@naturalenterprise.co.uk.
Also taking place in the Wightfibre Village Sports Area will be the Isle of Wight’s largest ever egg and spoon race. This race could quickly turn into a World Record attempt should participation levels allow! This will take place at around 12.30pm (TBC) and requires more than 1,455 people to take part at one time in order to break it so make sure you’re there and ready to make your mark in history.
