SURVEY: Half of 14-15 year olds feel addicted to the internet

According to the guardian, a survey for the Schools charity found that almost half of 14-15 year olds in the UK feel they are addicted to the internet. Just over 74 percent of pupils this age take a web-enabled mobile phone, tablet or laptop to bed at night. The vast majority of these are using them to communicate with friends through social networking or watch films and videos. The survey was carried out by 2,200 students in nine schools across Scotland and England. They’d found that the peak age for the feelings of addiction was school-year 10; where pupils are aged 14 or 15, with almost half (50%) of those pupils reporting the same outcome.

Do you feel that children may becoming ‘too’ addicted to the internet? Or is this a good thing?
