The Isle of Wight Radio Child of Wight Awards 2017

After a fantastic inaugural event in 2016, WightFibre are excited to be sponsoring the Isle of Wight Radio Child of Wight Awards again this year. The awards will take place in May at Cowes Yacht Haven. Isle of Wight Radio have now opened nominations for you to vote for outstanding Isle of Wight young people in ten categories.

Just like the Local Hero Awards for adults, WightFibre and Isle of Wight Radio are giving the Island community the opportunity to recognise and raise the profile of deserving young people on the Isle of Wight.

There is also a Best Brother and Best Sister award for a very extraordinary child to be recognised by their closest family.

Wightfibre lends it’s support by give something back to the community, it’s a ‘thank you’ for the fantastic support they receive from their customers and the Isle of Wight as a whole.

At WightFibre we use the words ‘Because we Care’ in our company logo. This is because we really do care about providing the best possible service to our customers on the Island. We also care about giving back to our Island community where we can and the Child of Wight Awards is a great way for us to do that.

The Island has a great community spirit and our young people are often badly maligned. The Child of Wight Awards is a great way to recognise those young people who deserve special recognition. As a local company who care, it is an honour and privilege for WightFibre to sponsor these awards and to support Isle of Wight Radio in making these awards something special”. – John Irvine, WightFibre CEO
