Last year, on Thursday the 17th of December, over two hundred people joined WightFibre and UKSA at Cineworld, Newport for the WightFibre Star Wars ‘The Force Awakens’ Charity Premiere in aid of UKSA.
Through a combination of pre and post event donations and a charity auction of various lots conducted by Rex Gully of Hose Rhodes Dickson Fine Art Auctioneers, WightFibre collected over £3,000 for UKSA. The cheque was formerly presented to CEO Ben Willows on Thursday 21st January and UKSA have now announced that they have spent some of the money raised on a new RS Quaba Dinghy for their youths.
To celebrate the new addition to UKSA’s fleet, WightFibre are asking customers to suggest names for the new dinghy!
The dinghy will be officially named at a launch party on the 28th of July. Here’s the best bit – The winner will win a pair of tickets to the WightFibre Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi Charity Premiere on the 14th of December.
