On Thursday the 17th of December 2015, over two hundred people joined WightFibre and UKSA at Cineworld, Newport for The Official WightFibre Star Wars ‘The Force Awakens’ Charity Premiere in aid of UKSA. We are excited to announce that we will be hosting a second event later this year in December for the next Star Wars saga movie The Last Jedi. This will again be in aid of UKSA and we look forward to blowing last year’s amount raised out of the water (pun intended!).
At the last premiere, through a combination of pre and post event donations and a charity auction conducted by Rex Gully of Hose Rhodes Dickson Fine Art Auctioneers, WightFibre collected a total of £3058.15 for UKSA and that was before further Gift Aid commitments were added to the total.
UKSA are a youth charity that use sailing and watersports to transform young people’s lives. Their youth development and maritime training courses deliver valuable new skills to young people that may otherwise struggle to get any experience.
