Winners announced for UKSA’s dinghy naming competition

Remnant UKSA & WightFibreOn the 4th of July, we asked you to get in touch with name suggestions for UKSA’s new RS Quaba dinghy. We were inundated with entries, but one name really jumped out at us. It’s a name that represents where the funding for the dinghy came from and also a name that honours an iconic actress who sadly passed away late last year. The dinghy will be officially named at a launch party tomorrow night.

The name we have chosen for the dinghy is: Princess Leia (in memory)

There were three entries who suggested this name, therefore we will be giving all of them a pair of tickets to our  WightFibre: Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi on the 14th of December.

A big congratulations and thank you to: Kat Pope, Christina Braybrook and Roy Knight

Although this is an exclusive event, there will be several chances for you to win money can’t buy tickets to the premiere.  Stay tuned and may the force be with you…
