Wightfibre are sponsoring the first Isle of Wight Radio Child of Wight Awards this year, which take place on Friday the 20th of May at Cowes Yacht Haven. A week on Friday we will find out which outstanding young people have been selected as the winner of each special category.
Just like the Local Hero Awards for adults, WightFibre and Isle of Wight Radio are giving the Island community the opportunity to recognise and raise the profile of deserving young people on the Isle of Wight.
The 10 categories range from the Most Courageous Child Award (sponsored by Wightlink) for someone who has shown incredible strength during a difficult time, to the Young Achiever Award (sponsored by S B Electrical) for someone who has exceeded expectations in any time of their life. There is also a Best Brother Award (sponsored by the Beacon) and Best Sister award (sponsored by Isle of Wight Radio) for a very extraordinary child to be recognised by their closest family.
A Word From WightFibre.
